Presentation & Goal
The IRCCyN IVC Eyetracker SD 2008 11 SD video database contains 51 videos in SD format (720x576 pixels). There are 30 videos in interlaced at 50Hz (i50) and 21 videos in progressive format at 30Hz (p30).
All videos are H.264 coded with a bitrate to produce good quality. For the "i50" videos, there are 15 video contents with 2 versions for each content. One without and one with simulated transmission errors. For the "p30" videos, there are 16 video contents without transmission error and 5 of these contents with simulated transmission error.
We done a free task eyetracker experiment in ITU-R BT500-11 environment.
The videos and eyetracker raw data are provided.
Initial goal
This database was created to collect saliency maps to test a region of interest protection software on these videos.
More details can be found in the related publications.
A video quality database is available come from the results of this experiment. to evaluate the quality impact of the protected region of interest.
Possible usage
This eye tracking SD video database can be used to validate a visual attention model taking care about transmission error (simulated packets loss).
This database can be used to evaluate the impact of transmission error on the saliency maps.
Dataset description
We provide the videos. These videos are YUV files compressed in the BZIP2 format.
The raw data are provided. There are a text file for each observer and each image.
The information about the source contents, video tested generation, subjective experiment environment and available data are provided in this page (see other tabs) and in the information file.

Hypothetical Reference Circuits (HRC)
There is only one or two versions of each video content.
The table presents the versions presented in the eye tracking experiment for each content.
For each content, there is a H.264 coded version. The H.264 bitrate is specified in the column "H.264 bitrate" and it is the HRC01.
A cross in the column "transmission error" specified there is a version (HRC02) of the video content with transmission error in the experiment. To produce these videos, we take the output of a proprietary network simulator which take input the first version of the video (without transmission error).
The HRC is h264 coding with the JM coder version 14.0. The bit-rates are selected to have a good quality.
