Presentation & Goal
This 3D video database contains 47 stereoscopic videos and the associated gaze point map and the raw eye tracking data.
Among the 47 videos provided, 12 videos come from the University of Nantes databases, 24 from RMIT and the other 11 videos come from other places.
The database was created to measure how different features (including 2D visual features and depth information) affect the distribution of visual attention. The database can be used to evaluate the performance of computational models of 3D visual attention/saliency.

There are the 47 3D videos composed by 2 2D videos merged on a side by side AVI files. The left view is store in first position and the right view is stored on second position.
You can visualize the 3D videos on a 3D system (PC + NVidia 3D Vision for example), by using the "Stereoscopic Player" : http://www.3dtv.at/Downloads/Index_en.aspx
Result : Disparity and saliency maps
The disparity maps are provided in Matlab files. There is one file for each frame of each video. In each Matlab file, there are 2 matrix. One compute the disparity from left to right and the other one from right to left. There are 3 dimensions for x axis, y axis value of the pixel and the third one is composed by 2 values : the disparity in y and x. The two first dimension is the resolution of the images divided by 2 to reduce the complexity of the computing.
The saliency maps are provided. There are PNG images.
More a pixel is white, more this pixel is visualized by the observers.

Use a FTP Manager to download all files at once
With Filezilla (Windows, Linux, Mac OS)
- Download the FileZilla Client software at https://filezilla-project.org/ and install it.
- Launch File > Sites Manager and fill in the form. The Host is ftp.ivc.polytech.univ-nantes.fr. Use Anonymous for Logon Type. All others fields can be left blank. Finally, press Connect.
- In the first panel, you can see connection's logs. Normally, a message like Response: 220 ftproxy FTP server (Version 184.108.40.206 - 2005/01/11 13:03:28) ready. is printed.
- The left column below contains your computer file system and the selected folder. In the right column, you can see the FTP server file system and its selected folder.
- In the left colum, select the local directory in which receive the database. In the right panel, find IRCCyN_IVC_Eyetracking_For_Stereoscopic_Videos , right click and press Download.
- Bottom panel shows file transfer informations. All files of the databases are being downloaded in your computer. Please wait during the transfer.
