Overview
This database contains several contents with for each content, the reference (without processing or degradation) and seven different compression rates in jpeg or jpeg2000. There is one spreadsheet with the individual score and the MOS for each video for the ACR methodology. A text file presents the conditions in which the still images was evaluated.
This database completes the MICT database with different protocol, different type of display device and different populations. The results of the two databases can be used to consider the display technology and the population in a quality model, like in this paper for example.
The contents of this database are images. The resolution is 768x512 pixels. The images are displayed on a 1280x1024 pixels display and an uniform gray is put around the image to keep the native resolution of the image. The display is a progressive one and the refresh frequency is 60Hz.
Provided data
Images
These images are BMP files. The resolution is 768x512 pixels.
Subjective scores
The subjective scores are provided. An Excel file is provided. In this file, there are two spreadsheets, one for each test session (JPG and JP2). In the 2 spreadsheets, an image is associated to a line and an observer to a column. You have access to all individual vote from each observer to each image. The last column is the Mean Opinion Score (MOS).
Hypothetical Reference Circuits
The HRCs are based on JPEG and JPEG2000 codec. All contents are compressed with the same parameter values. The subjective experiment is composed by 2 parts. One for JPEG contents and another one for the JPEG2000 contents. The last column specify in which part the HRC is included. For each part, there are 8 HRC applied on 14 image contents so there are 112 images in each parts.
