A freely available dataset of stereoscopic sequences is presented in detail. The sequences are available in Full-HD resolution for each view at 25 frames per second. The content quality is judged to be suited for usage in a wide variety of applications, including high quality studies. Depth maps were calculated on the sequences.
Firstly, the sequences were recorded taking into account challenging aspects for coding algorithms, like colorfulness, object and camera movement, and texture, in addition to perceptual effects related to 3D video that should be studied, like motion in depth and parallel to the screen plane. Second, the selection of the content was done trying to obtain interesting scenes for the observers, considering that they will be used in subjective quality assessment tests.

This database contains 10 videos impaired sequences. Several caracteristics are provide with videos. The video camera used to capture video caracteristics, Depth maps estimation by Shawn Lankton, the Spatial perceptual Information (SI), the Temporal perceptual Information (TI), a contrast indicator (CI) and 2 depth indicators.
The source contents of this database are under the creative commons copyright allowing for free usage including viewing, modification, etc. in most situations. We provide a spreadsheet with the caracteristics.
Depth maps were generated from left and right view using a disparity estimation algorithm proposed by Chambolle et al. that has been adapted to stereo matching. Values correspond to the distance between pixels in each view when matching view 1 to view 0,thus positive value means objects are in front of the screen and negative values the opposite.
